GROW: Understanding the Disability Tax Credit

Join ABLE2 for an introductory webinar on the Disability Tax Credit (DTC) on March 3 (delivered in English) and March 4 (delivered in French) as part of our GROW Education Series. This presentation will provide essential information about what the Disability Tax Credit is, who it is for, what it does, and how to apply.

The Disability Tax Credit is an important federal tax credit and is often a key first step in accessing other programs and supports, such as the Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP) and the Canada Disability Benefit.

This session will be hosted by ABLE2 and delivered by a Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) Outreach Worker, who will provide a general overview of the DTC and the application process.

Who Should Attend:

This presentation is for anyone who has a disability (of any kind) and would like to learn more about the Disability Tax Credit and how it may support them.

While there are specific eligibility requirements for the DTC, this session is open to anyone who wishes to learn more, and no background knowledge is required.

This presentation is also suitable for:

  • Caregivers and support people
  • Parents, spouses, siblings, and family members
  • Friends of people with disabilities

If space allows, professional supports may also be permitted to attend.

The Canada Revenue Agency is committed to helping individuals understand the benefits, credits, and programs they may be eligible for. CRA Outreach Workers work directly with communities to provide education and information about CRA programs, including the Disability Tax Credit.
