GROW: Registered Disability Savings Plan 101

15 Apr, 2026

Join ABLE2 for this webinar on Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP) 101, as part of our GROW Financial Literacy Series. This session will provide essential information on who it is designed for, eligibility requirements, and how to open and manage an RDSP

The Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP) is one of the most powerful long-term savings tools available to people with disabilities in Canada, yet it remains widely misunderstood. This introductory webinar breaks down the essentials in clear, accessible language to help participants gain confidence in navigating the program.

We’ll also address common misconceptions that often prevent individuals and families from taking full advantage of the long-term financial benefits that RDSP can offer.

Date: April 15, 2026, 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. EST (delivered in English) via Zoom

Registration closes on April 13, 2026, at 12 PM*

You’ll Learn:

  • About the basics of RDSP
  • Why having an RDSP is beneficial even if you have limited contribution ability
  • How having an RDSP may have income tax benefits for the beneficiary and the funder

Who Should Attend:

This presentation is open to anyone who has a disability (of any kind) and would like to learn about the RDSP and how it may benefit them.

While there are specific requirements for the RDSP, this presentation is for anyone who wishes to learn about the RDSP. This presentation is also open to parents, caregivers, siblings, friends, spouses of persons with disabilities. If there is room, professional service providers may attend.
