ABLE2’s Annual Picnic 2026

You’re invited to ABLE2’s Annual Picnic!

Join us for some BBQ, great company, and summer vibes on Saturday, August 15, at Andrew Haydon Park!

Register now to confirm your attendance and purchase meal tickets for delicious buffet-style barbecue hotdogs and hamburgers prepared by Fitz’s Classic Grill BBQ Smoke House (gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options are available). Tickets are $20 per person. Limited spaces are available—reserve your orders and confirm your attendance before July 31st. 

You are also welcome to bring your own food. Don’t forget to confirm your attendance by registering at the link below. 

In addition to our volunteer Accessibility Team, a Whimble personal care attendant will be on-site to help with personal care, feeding, and other accessibility needs. Parking available onsite. Close to public transit and accessible by ParaTranspo.

Registration closes at 5:00 PM on July 31, or when spaces have been filled.

We are looking for volunteers!

Volunteers support our events by making sure everyone has what they need to have a great time! By volunteering at the ABLE2 Annual Picnic, you can make a positive impact, meet new people, and gain valuable experience. Whether you can spare a couple of hours or stay for the entire event, your help will be greatly appreciated!

All accepted volunteers will be invited to a virtual orientation session on Wednesday, August 5, from 12-1 pm OR Thursday, August 6, from 5:30-6:30 pm. 

Due to limited spots, not everyone who registers may be accepted to volunteer. We will be in touch with you after registration closes on Monday, July 6, 2026.

  • If driving West on Carling, turn right at the lights Andrew Haydon Park, 3127 Carling Ave at Holly Acres. Then make an immediate left.
  • If driving East on Carling, turn left at the lights Andrew Haydon Park, 3127 Carling Ave at Holly Acres. Then make an immediate left.
  • If driving North on Holly Acres, cross Carling Ave at the lights, drive straight into the Andrew Haydon Park, 3127 Carling Ave. Then make an immediate left.
  • ParaTranspo: a ParaTranspo pickup and drop-off spot can be found at the gazebo (large A on the map below). Please instruct ParaTranspo to use the Carling and Holly Acres entrance.
