GROW Series: Laughter Yoga

ABLE2 is offering a series of virtual workshops to help people with disabilities learn about and participate in fun activities.

Elsbeth Farrell is a certified Laughter Yoga Leader, a mother of three, loves to cook and is the Event Coordinator at ABLE2!  She has used Laughter Yoga for years with her daycare, adults and her family.  Elsbeth feels that laughter really is the best medicine!    
 
Laughter Yoga is intentional, prolonged laughter exercises which promotes yogic breathing. It has many benefits!  
 
Laughter Yoga: 

  • Can boost your immune system 
  • Decrease pain 
  • Make your abs feel great! 
  • Lower your stress levels 

 
A session of 15 minutes per day is all you need to feel your best.  Elsbeth will lead you in a 15-minute session of laughter yoga, give you tips on how to develop your own practice and answer any questions you may have.  You will leave this webinar feeling relaxed, happy and with the tools to be able to practice on your own.

The FASD Symposium is Eastern Canada’s largest annual gathering of everyone connected to the FASD community. This one-day interactive, educational event, with content available in English and French, attracts 400+ people each year. Our theme for 2023 is ‘It is Time to Change". A day that will bring together advocates and researchers and creative ideas about effecting change in systems, identifying existing gaps and suggesting actions we need to take to support people (and their caregivers) in the FASD community.
